Stock Patterns for Day Trading by Barry Rudd

Stock Patterns for Day Trading by Barry Rudd
At last! A real book from a real trader!. Barry’s chart patterns & trading tactics have been used by professionals for years. These skills can reap great rewards.

Rudd’s book illustrates chart patterns of top traders. They provide a solid foundation in technical analysis for day trading. This book describes the trading strategies used by a professional stock trader in his own trading. The ideas come both from friends who are successful traders as well as his own experience with SOES trading. The collection of trading patterns described represents one of the first full-fledged books of instruction on short term, swing and day trading in individual stocks. The author’s intraday trend trading approach and his scalping method are both described in detail. He uses the setups daily in his own trading. This manual should prove valuable to the thousands of short term stock traders who seek to make their living from speculating on short term price swings. It is a toolbox for finding high probability trades for success as you trade the stock market. The technical ideas are primarily crafted around the personality of the NASDAQ market but may also be implemented in New York trades.

This one is a MUST READ! This book will not disappint you. Rudd gives clear, concise examples of multiple chart formations that lead to high percent winning trades. There is no hype. Just the real goods. Samples for longs & shorts; early in the day entriees or intraday trades. There are more pages of actual daily charts explaining entry & exit points than there are pages of writing. Nothing is left to the imagination. For those whose time span is a bit longer ’swing’ trades are also covered. If you’re a scalper you’ll find the proper techniques to follow to ensure your success.

Written by a professional full time stock trader who makes his living from short term trading in individual stocks, this book discloses, in detail, the strategies and methods he uses in his own trading, and provides invaluable advice to those who seek to profit from short term and intraday price swings.

Highly recommended by the editors of the world’s foremost stock day-trading service, The Pristine Day Trader!

Barry Rudd has done novice traders a great service. The chart patterns and trading tactics mentioned within have been used by professional traders (including ourselves) for years. We believe those who want to increase their trading skills will be greatly rewarded.-Oliver Velez and Greg Capra, editors, The Pristine Day Trader.

The indicator section is the best. Forex is the best market out here period, but the books and information available are lacking real substance. This book is written by owners of Forex brokerages and it is for dummies and pros a like.

The Way to Trade by John Piper

The Way to Trade by John Piper
The trading pyramid concept is conceptually very sound - although here and there a bit forced. The 55 steps to success is most enlightening. Piper understands this business. The best of this book is how Piper rightfully downplays the role of trade triggering techniques. This is a must read for everyone that thinks trading is nothingmore than an excercise in technical analysis. It is much much more and you will be well advised to get your hands on a copy.

This is one of the best on psychology. There are 28 chapters and a summary of the main points at the end of most chapters. He talks a lot about risk, money management, discipline, rules, etc. The foreward is written by Alexander Elder which says a lot in my book. The author is British and refreshingly frank with some of his comments. This is one of those books that if you heed the advice, it could save you thousands of dollars and years of frustration.

Most people lose in the markets for one simple reason - they trade emotionally. Good trading is not a question of doing, it is a question of being. How do you trade?Trading is a life experience. It is not like any other business. The beauty of trading is that it becomes an expression of your own personality.

The truth is, good traders don’t do, they simply are. And to become a good trader you have to create a model built around an approach that suits you. The Way to Trade will help you do just that.Find your own route to success.

The Economics of Sin: Rational Choice or No Choice at All by Samuel Cameron

The Economics of Sin: Rational Choice or No Choice at All by Samuel Cameron
It is surveys and analysis the evolution of “sin” from the perspective of rational choice economics. Economist Samuel Cameron considers the formation of religions as regulators of the quasi-market in sins and appraise the economic role of lying, envy, jealous, greed, lust, sloth, and waste in individual markets and in macroeconomic activity. An original, innovative, ground-breaking, interdisciplinary study, The Economics Of Sin is scholarly and very highly recommended reading for students of Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Religion.

An original, innovative, ground-breaking, interdisciplinary study, The Economics of Sin is scholarly and very highly recommended reading.

“The Economics of Sin” examines the definition and evolution of sin from the perspective of rational choice economics, yet is conscious of the limitations of such an approach. The author argues that because engaging in activities deemed to be sinful is an act of choice, it can therefore be subject to the logic of choice in the economic model. The book considers the formation of religions, including the new age revival of “wicca”, as regulators of the quasi-market in sins, and goes on to the role of specific sins such as lying, envy, jealousy, greed, lust, sloth and waste in individual markets and in macroeconomic activity. Empirical evidence on issues such as cannibalism, capital punishment, addiction, adultery and prostitution is also explored. Samuel Cameron concludes that a large percentage of economic activity is intimately connected with forms of sin which are in some circumstances highly beneficial to the functioning of markets, particularly in the presence of market failure. This study of the institution of sin should be of great interest to a wide-ranging readership, including researchers and teachers of economics, sociology and theology. It should also be of importance to anthropologists and philosophers.

The Beatles - COMPLETE SCORE

The Beatles - COMPLETE SCORE
A fitting tribute to possibly the greatest pop band ever - The Beatles.

This outstanding hard-cover edition features over 1100 pages with full scores and lyrics to all 210 titles recorded by The Beatles. Guitar and bass parts are in both standard notation and tablature. Also includes a full discography. Songs include: All You Need Is Love · And I Love Her · Baby You’re a Rich Man · Back in the U.S.S.R. · The Ballad of John and Yoko · Blackbird · Can’t Buy Me Love · Come Together · Drive My Car · Eleanor Rigby · From Me to You · Glass Onion · A Hard Day’s Night · Help! · Hey Jude · I Saw Her Standing There · I Want to Hold Your Hand · Michelle · Penny Lane · She Loves You · Twist and Shout · Yesterday · and many more!

This is an amazingly complete and accurate collection… musicians attempting to learn and to replicate the Beatles sound will not be disappointed. Included are all instrument parts, all vocal parts, and chord names above the staff, with tablature for the bass and guitar parts.

This book gets the original arrangements as played by the Beatles which are generally much better and actually easier to play a lot of times. You can discern McCartney’s piano style which is not technically difficult. After all you are accompanying a voice and not playing a melody.

The arrangements are virtually perfect and accurate. For a guitarist, having the music, tabs, and chords allows you to invest as much or little effort as you want in learning different parts of each song - the transcriptions compliment each other.
